Keith Whittemore, a perennial leader of the Seattle J/24 fleet and a top finisher in several world championships, agreed to a request from this web site to single out some of the boats to watch in the class North American Championships, May 20 - 23 on Puget Sound. Not surprisingly, Keith picked his own boat, Tundra Rose, as one of those with a chance to win the regatta. There aren't really any dark-horses in his other picks. All are seasoned competitors who could win the regatta, which is the first continental J/24 competition ever held in Seattle.
