In addition, the J/24 North American Championship Regatta is celebrating its 30th anniversary. Fleet #1 on Lake Minnetonka was the first of 105 fleets throughout the globe. The first J/24, Ragtime, was built by Rod Johnstone in 1976. Little did he know there would be nearly 5,200 J/24 sailboats today.

The J/24 North American Championship Regatta typically draws 65-80 plus boats to the event.
